There are so many hidden gems across the New Mexico desert that are perfect for photo shoots. White Ridge is one such spot, with both red and white rocks and incredible views of the desert and mountains in the distance. The vibe is very similar to Ghost Ranch or Abiquiu, New Mexico (where Georgia O’Keeffe lived) only this area is just a short distance outside of Albuquerque.
M and R get annual photos done with their two dogs for their Christmas cards, each time in a new location, and we wanted to really make this one special. They dressed in somewhat matching white and tan outfits, complete with a pretty white brimmed hat for Marina, and we trekked out into the desert for some sunset engagement photos. We arrived at White Ridge just as golden hour was fully in motion and caught the most magical gold and pink sunset. It felt like we were in a movie!
