Ashley and Zack traveled from Pittsburgh to have a New Mexico elopement. They thought that having an adventure session at White Sands National Park would be a fun way to experience the state and get some extra engagement or pre-wedding photos on the day before their actual elopement in the Sandia Mountains.
They were totally right. There is nothing like White Sands National Park in New Mexico. It’s such a unique landscape, with sand white as snow and desert plants popping out here and there, and sweeping views of mountains all around. It’s a gorgeous backdrop for portraits. The white sand reflects light on faces from every angle for super flattering lighting. And the sunsets are unmatched. Golden hour is followed by cotton candy skies and sand. It’s a setting perfect for both romance and fun. My specialties ;)
Ashley wore a flowy red dress that popped perfectly against the white sand dunes and she and Zack both went barefoot for a relaxed and natural vibe. They loved squishing the sand between their toes, and tossing the sand up to watch it glitter in the sunlight. I absolutely loved spending this evening with them. It was such a great way to let loose and get to know each other before meeting up again for their elopement the next day!
