It was such a joy to take part in Jess and Morgan’s wedding day. These two had such a warm, wonderful energy about them. All happy smiles and joy that their big day was finally here. If they were stressed about anything at all, you would never know it. It was a lovely spring afternoon at the fabulous Wedgewood Weddings Boulder Creek, and they were truly just excited the day was finally here.
They had their first look in front of the adorable stone wall that overlooks Boulder Creek, and their ceremony site. Though the trees were not quite budding with leaves on this early spring day, the background felt lush. The sun shined down on them as they took a moment to enjoy themselves alone.
Soon, everyone began to congregate at the ceremony site. This spot is so charming, a ceremony site sitting right alongside the babbling Boulder Creek. On one side is the creek and the trees running alongside, and on the other is an old stone wall covered in ivy. It’s like you are truly getting married in a little haven at the center of the mountains.
We enjoyed just a few more minutes of the beautiful mountain and creekside scenery before retiring inside for the wedding reception. The theme was simple, with subtle nods to the spring season and the couple’s love of sweets and coffee. Guest favors were customized mini bags of coffee, there was a giant donut wall AND a sweet cake table topped with both cake and cupcakes, and the escort cards were each a floral postcard printed with each guest’s name. I just loved all the pastel colors and the bright, happy faces of everyone there.
