Hey, friends, I wanted to give a little peek into how I explore new locations for sessions on my own personal adventures.
On our way back home from a weekend in Winter Park to celebrate our friend’s birthday and surprise engagement, Ryan and I made a couple pit stops to explore Lookout Mountain near Golden, Colorado. Any time we travel, I am always looking out (get it?) for beautiful new locations where I can take my clients. One of my favorite things to do is just pull over somewhere beautiful and start to wander. That’s basically how we approach every vacation we take—get a little lost, wander around, and stumble on something beautiful and off the beaten path. That’s why I love adventure sessions and getting out into nature for portraits so much. I just think there is so much beauty out there. I have so many locations pinned on my Google maps because I could never remember all of the gorgeous spots I want to shoot at.
It had just snowed the day before, but the sun was shining, and it was the perfect bluebird day. You just can’t pass up a day like that to get out in the mountains for some beautiful winter photos. We explored a handful of spots all around the mountain, I took some landscape photos (check out those views!) and I made Ryan take some photos of me in the snowy Colorado tundra. It was Colorado wedding photographer heaven. ;)
I can’t wait to get a couple out here for some engagement pictures! For now, just enjoy a few of these Lookout Mountain adventure photos. :)
Hey friend! I’m Delia–a wedding photographer who loves adventure just as much as snuggling on the couch with her dog. My photography is fun and colorful and embraces the real you. I’m based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but I photograph weddings all throughout New Mexico, Colorado, and the southwest. I love to connect with and help my clients as much as possible. Check out the wedding planning tips section of my blog for more helpful advice.
