Riho and Jonathan met when Jonathan was stationed in Tokyo. When Jonathan received a military order to go to Albuquerque, New Mexico, he and Riho fell in love with the landscape. They wanted to stay in New Mexico together even after he left the military, and they wanted to get married in a place that showed off true New Mexico beauty to their families, who all traveled to witness their ceremony.
The adobe-style inn Canon del Rio in Jemez Springs, New Mexico, served as the perfect intimate wedding venue. Riho and Jonathan booked the whole inn for their families to stay with them in Jemez Springs for the weekend, and had their ceremony on the lawn overlooking the red cliffs and the Jemez river. Afterward, we took a drive to the nearby Jemez Red Rock Trail for some epic New Mexico red rock elopement portraits. It was both relaxed and beautiful.
Such a perfect intimate Jemez, New Mexico, elopement at Canon del Rio!
