Jacqueline and Thomas had the most perfect Tacoma wedding. We started the day with their first look and portraits at the rose garden at Point Defiance Park in Tacoma. Then we moved on to their wedding ceremony and reception at the Historic 1625 Tacoma Place.
The rose garden at Point Defiance Park is one of my absolute favorite spots where you can always get a beautiful floral look. I love to play with adding some roses to the foreground to give some pretty, colorful depth to portraits.
When Jacqueline and Thomas saw each other for the first time, they were both moved to tears. I just love first looks for this reason. They’re an opportunity for a couple to just have a quiet moment together, away from the crowds of family and guests, before the day gets going. These two followed up their private moment with an exchanging of gifts, which is another sweet tradition I love to see couples do.
The Historic 1625 Tacoma Place is one of my favorite Tacoma wedding venues. The old brick building feels so warm and nostalgic. With tables set with simple floral centerpieces of baby’s breath and lavender and lots of candles and twinkle lights, the whole room felt like it was decorated by fairies. Is that a weird description? That’s honestly the best thing that comes to my mind ;)
Their cake topper was one of the cutest I’ve ever seen. Two little elephants made of fondant, facing each other atop a small wedding cake and surrounded by dozens of delicious cupcakes. I diiieeee.
