Jessa and Bobby got married in the mountains of Woodland Park, Colorado, surrounded by bare aspen trees. It was a perfect late-fall day, with both snow flurries and sunshine.
More than anything, they wanted a low-key day for their wedding. Thus, the details were simple: a few pine cones and wooden stumps, with dried flowers and eucalyptus for the bouquets. The cake was topped with more pine branches, pine cones, and drips of caramel in a beautiful homage to the mountains.
They rented a private cabin for their close family and friends to stay the weekend together. Just down the hill from the cabin, they had their ceremony surrounded by the aspen trees and their loved ones. The sun started popping out after they said their vows, and everyone headed back up the hill and into the field behind the cabin for them to have their official first dance. I think this might be my favorite dance floor ever. Just the grassy field, trees all around, the sun shining its golden spotlight on the newlyweds.
I absolutely loved this Woodland Park wedding at a private cabin. A true intimate mountain wedding, through and through!
