Maria and Cyd were one of the first couples I met with after moving to Washington. They have been planning their gorgeous wedding at Carleton Farms in Lake Stevens for a long time now, and I cannot wait to capture it all later this month!
We met up for their summer engagement session at Hamilton Viewpoint Park in West Seattle. They brought their daughter Elyana along to add some cuteness to their pictures, and for the ones she wasn’t in, she was behind the scenes helping me make her parents laugh and checking the back of my camera to be sure the shots were coming out okay. It’s kind of nice to have a little assistant! ;)
After we captured shots with the Seattle views, we headed down the hill and around to Alki Beach for some more photos. Maria wanted to have their session somewhere scenic, with trees and grass and water all around, so the Hamilton Viewpoint Park + Alki Beach combo was the perfect solution. I just love that part of town.
Maria and Cyd are so sweet and full of smiles. Not once did I have to tell them to smile for the camera. Just looking at each other and at their daughter brought out the most radiant faces, all I had to do was stand back and let the happy magic happen. I’m sure that their wedding day will be filled with even more joy, and I am so excited to share in it.
