Snoqualmie Washington Maternity Portraits | Hannah & Todd

Hannah and Todd are getting closer and closer to meeting their little girl, and the anticipation is building! We ventured to Snoqualmie Point Park for their maternity portraits, on a chilly day with no rain but the occasional flakes of snow. Hannah’s bright pink shirt served to represent the daughter she is carrying and was the perfect splash of color amid a still-wintery backdrop. We featured little Nora’s future baby booties and brought in their sweet pup for some photos as well. A family of three becoming a family of four.

I love everything about capturing maternity portraits. There is a glow that surrounds a couple of new parents—a combination of excitement and nervousness and nostalgia. They are on the precipice of an entirely new way of life. It brings them closer together for the kind of sweet portraits you don’t even see for engagements or newlyweds. The portraits are not just about them, but that little life they’ve created and have yet to meet.

Not to be waxing poetic too much on you, but Hannah and Todd are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet, and witnessing their excitement together was such a privilege. We connected through Hannah’s sister Katie, whose wedding you may remember from last summer. I’ve now captured portraits for four women in this family group and I can’t even tell you how wonderful it is to watch a family from so many sides and in so many stages. This is what it truly means to be documenting life and love.

Hannah and Todd, I am so excited for the world to meet baby Norah! You are going to be fabulous parents.
