Jennifer and Chris met at Chuck E. Cheese. Both 18 and working their first job there, they were too shy to start talking in person. Luckily, one day Chris reached out to Jennifer on AIM (remember those days?) and as she puts it, they have been inseparable ever since. Now, twelve years later, including a four-year long engagement, after some shared hardships and unplanned delays, they are finally tying the knot in Las Vegas this summer. Just after briefly talking with Jennifer I could hear the breath behind her words: finally.
We shot their engagement session at Kubota Garden this spring. They wanted their engagement portraits to be lively, colorful, and exude their intimacy and excitement to finally be getting married, and Kubota Garden was the absolute perfect setting. We wandered the peaceful gardens, hardly disturbed by any other people, and took in the natural beauty of the flowers everywhere. These two were so cute together, constantly cracking each other up. It was a joy to have them in front of my camera. And they brought along their little dog Coco, who had the biggest grin for the camera, and sported her own little dresses to match Jennifer. STAHP. So cute.
This was my first time venturing to Kubota Garden for engagement pictures and I surely hope it’s not the last.
Congratulations to this happy couple! Finally! ;)
