Rattlesnake Ledge Hiking Portraits | Agnieszka & Przemek

It’s been a whirlwind of a week with my parents being in town, so now I’m finally getting around to updating the blog with this fun hiking portrait session with my friend Agnieszka and her husband Przemek! Agnieszka is another photographer and fellow newbie to Seattle. We found each other through Facebook and met for coffee several weeks ago, and a fast friendship was born. In just that afternoon we decided to plan a hike and photo trade with our hubbies and we began to make plans for a collaborated styled elopement shoot—both of which came to fruition the same weekend, two weeks ago! Talk about fast friends.

The weekend in question had a gloomy forecast over it the whole week leading up to it, but when Saturday morning came, the sun made a surprise appearance and we headed out for our hike. It was a gorgeous, spring-like day, and we couldn’t wait to take advantage of it. With our new pup Kirby in tow, we all headed up the mountain to catch the views and add some fun, springy, outdoorsy couples photos to our portfolios.

Unfortunately, when we reached the Rattlesnake Ledge the wind picked up and put a damper on our spirits. A little breeze can be a photographer’s friend but this wind was coming from all directions and taking our hair with it! We could almost hardly breathe. While there are plenty of shots you’ll never see of hair completely in our faces, I think we got some awesome, authentic windblown images. Couple those with the forest and lakeside images, and we came up with the ultimate PNW shoot. So I’d call it a win after all! Can’t wait for more days like this.

I’m in love with the images Agnieszka captured for us, as well. If you’re interested in seeing those, go to her blog. And if you’re interested in your own hike hangout + portrait session with me LET ME KNOW. <3
