Kaela and Keith had the sweetest Pickering Barn wedding in Issaquah, Washington. The theme was rustic elegance, with bright spring colors. The inside of the barn was decorated with candles and sweeping white drapery for the wedding ceremony, as the sun shined brightly outside. Kaela’s bridesmaids wore soft pink Azazie dresses while Keith’s groomsmen donned elegant navy blue suits. The bouquets and boutonnieres featured soft pink and white peonies.
Before we headed to Pickering Barn, we took advantage of the lovely Issaquah Salmon Hatchery for Kaela and Keith’s first look and some portraits with their wedding party. Kaela and Keith saw each other for the first time on their wedding day on a quaint bridge, Kaela bawling, surrounded by friends and strangers, but only noticing each other. It was their favorite part of the day.
But even more than it was beautiful, this wedding was FUN. Never have I met a wedding party so excited for posing for a million silly photos together, icing each other, and dancing the night away. This group could party until the sun came up, I’m sure of it. And there is nothing better than witnessing a bride and groom having the time of their lives with the people they love most on their wedding day. This day was 100% that. You would never know only days before they were so stressed about everything coming together. In Kaela’s own words:
“The months leading up to the wedding I was stressed, so stressed that I wanted to just cancel it all and elope. There were way too many things to plan. I made sure everything was done the day before so I didn’t feel so stressed the day of. Waking up in the morning I felt relaxed and was excited that the day was finally here. I would definitely go back and do it all over again! It was perfect!”
She had good advice for future brides planning their wedding day:
“Make sure to line up as much help as you on the day of. Relax, the day will be worth it in the end.”
True words!
This was truly the perfect spring wedding in Issaquah.
