When I found out we would be moving and I’d be relocating this wedding photography business to Colorado Springs, I knew right away that Garden of the Gods would become one of my favorite go-to locations. I have barely scratched the surface in exploring this massive and gorgeous park, but in just a couple of hours, I’ve discovered the magic it holds.

I met Brittany and JD here just a couple days after the Springs got a dusting of snow. The white snow against the red rocks and mountain landscape stretching out in the background is one of the most amazing winter sights I’ve ever seen. It was absolutely one of the most perfect days for some winter Garden of the Gods engagement photos.

We had a blast. They started out with a dressed-up look—and I’ve gotta say, there is just something about a fancy ball gown being shown off in a winter wonderland—but ended up on a casual note, and had a the best time all along the way. These two are just so themselves together that it’s hard not to laugh along with them as they goof around. Ball gown or not, they were not afraid of a little snowball fight (or three) and although a chill set in as the sun dipped below the horizon, these two knew they could count on each other to warm themselves up. They were up for anything as we wandered through the snow and around the red rocks.

I love easygoing, go-with-the-flow, don’t-care-about-the-weather, don’t-care-about-looking-silly types of people. These two were the best and I can’t wait to see what they do for their wedding coming up in just a couple months!
