The Creekside Event Center is a beautiful wedding venue in Colorado Springs. Outside is a lovely grassy area surrounded by trees and featuring a classic white gazebo for wedding ceremonies. Inside is ample space with rooms for both brides and grooms to get ready and have a range of options for an indoor reception. This venue has a chic farmhouse style with bright white walls and rustic touches for beautiful and classic photos.
This was the perfect wedding venue for Ashley and Andrew. With so many little details and emotional touches, their military wedding at Creekside was everything they dreamed of.
Ashley and her bridesmaids (and one bridesman!) spent their afternoon getting ready and enjoying the massive bridal suite, while Andrew and his groomsmen (and one groomslady!) hung out in the groom’s suite playing video games and foosball. The weather was thundering and gloomy for much of the afternoon, which always makes people nervous when anticipating an outdoor ceremony. But, we were able to use the foyer inside for Ashley and Andrew’s first look, and it felt perfectly intimate and cozy. After that, the clouds parted and we breathed a sigh of relief as we headed outside for some more portraits and the ceremony.
And what a moving ceremony! After walking her up the aisle, Ashley’s father said a prayer to open up the ceremony. Ashley and Andrew made beautiful, personal vows. At the end, Andrew’s Army friends saluted the newlyweds with the traditional saber arch.
Ashley and Andrew are such a sweet couple, so at ease with each other that our jobs as photographers was made so easy. You could feel their joy and wonder at their big day in every moment.
