Best Colorado Mountain Wedding Venues

Best Colorado Mountain Wedding Venues

I have always been drawn to gorgeous outdoor wedding ceremonies with sweeping natural beauty as the backdrop. There is something so special about celebrating two people in love within the gorgeous setting of Mother Nature. So of course I started researching all the amazing Colorado mountain wedding venues long before we moved here. I knew these would be the venues I’d be most in my element working at. I love all nature, but in particular I love mountain backdrops, barns in grassy fields, and views overlooking lakes. In all my research, I found a handful of outdoor wedding venues in Colorado that had these essential elements and really stuck out to me.

So here they are, the best Colorado mountain wedding venues:

At the Ski Tip Lodge wedding venue, you get all the best parts of having a wedding in the mountains. With mountain, water, and forest backdrops, and the cutest wooden lodge (with an outdoor tent available for summer weddings) you just cannot go wrong. Have your ceremony at the Schoolmarm at Keystone Resort’s 12,000-ft summit, accessible by gondola ride, for a unique Colorado mountain wedding experience. It’s the perfect mountain wedding venue. Fun fact: Ski Tip Lodge was the first ski lodge in Colorado in 1947! And this storybook alpine setting is located in Keystone, one of the cutest ski towns just 90 minutes west of Denver.

Deer Creek Valley Ranch

I am completely smitten with the Deer Creek Valley Ranch wedding venue, and dying to have a wedding there soon. Located at the base of two mountains and less than an hour away from Denver, the location cannot be beat. This venue has sweeping Colorado views of fields and water and mountains. You have the option to get married in a gazebo on the water, or by a cute bridge in front of a field. The restored historic barn where receptions are hosted is absolutely stunning. It is the true essence of a romantic Colorado barn wedding. AND, this year, in spring 2019, they are opening a new venue option to serve even more couples on their stunning 165-acre lot. Whether you decide to have your wedding at The Barn or The Homestead at Deer Creek Valley Ranch, I want to be there with you.

Spruce Mountain Ranch

The Spruce Mountain Ranch wedding venue is located right between Denver and Colorado Springs for a convenient and gorgeous mountain wedding location in Colorado. If you love the look of sweeping meadow views with mountains in the background, this place should be at the top of your list. You would never know that you’re smack dab in the middle of two cities, because those views make you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere in the best way. This venue is huge and actually has multiple options for reception space and outdoor ceremonies, but I’d highly recommend the Mountainside ceremony option for the views.
