Victoria and Matt wanted a natural and quintessentially “Seattle” location for their engagement portraits. We tossed several ideas around—there are many places that all really show off Seattle, after all! But at the last minute we settled on Discovery Park. It was an afternoon late in the fall. The leaves were still barely clinging onto a handful of trees, and the sky was covered in a sheet of clouds, but we were lucky enough to not be rained on. It was the absolute perfect setting. With this good-looking couple ready for the camera in cute fall sweaters and vests, we all ventured around the park.
Victoria and Matt met in the best way you can: through each other’s best friends. In the years since then they have both completed their own graduate degrees and now live together with their sweet little dog named Eva “the diva.” When people want to involve their pets in their photos I always respond with a resounding YES, but of course the risk you run is allowing them to be the real stars of the show, and Eva was no exception.
I think they were all nervous, but you would never know it. My camera loved this little family, and I think you’ll fall for them too ;) I’m so excited for them as they continue planning their wedding for June this year!
xoxo
